MTN PROJECT FAME COMENNCES SEASON 4 AUDITION
The audition, which commences this weekend at the Tafo Arena in Ibadan, will continue in other cities in Ghana, Nigeria, Sierra Leone and Liberia to discover contestants, who will compete for the Season 4 starting soon.
Other cities where the audition will hold within Nigeria are Abuja, Uyo, Benin City, Port Harcourt, Kaduna, with the final round in Lagos. Accra, Freetown and Monrovia are among other cities in the sub-region hosting the audition.
Prospective participants are expected to send their details to short code 35850 after which they will receive a Personal Identification Number (PIN) which will be required to complete the application form. Application form can be downloaded from the MTN Project Fame website, www.projectfamewestafrica.com or the hard copies picked up at any MTN centre across the country.
MTN Project Fame West Africa is a musical competition that discovers raw music enthusiasts, who are groomed in an intense Musical Academy, where they receive the very best professional training in the area of vocal delivery, stagecraft, performances and song-writing for a period of 10 weeks.
The Academy will run under the guidance of veteran actress, Joke Silva, as the principal; music expert, Ben Ogbeiwi remains the academy music director; singer and actress, Dupe Ige is the voice coach; renowned dancer and Guinness Book of World Record holder, Kaffi is the dance instructor, while Kayode Oyedepo remains the physical instructor.
More than just a talent competition, MTN Project Fame West Africa allows viewers a unique opportunity to follow day by day, the behind-the-scene progress of the contestants in their quest for fame. The contestants will also be given the opportunity to meet and perform alongside their favourite stars who will be conducting exclusive master-classes, sharing their wisdom and tips for success.
Last season winner of the MTN sponsored music Tv reality show is Chidinma Ekile, who has recently released her audio and video single entitled Jankoliko featuring veteran Sound Sultan.
Public voting by SMS determines which contestants are eliminated on a weekly basis, with the lucky winner walking away with cash prize, a car and a recording contract.
