What is style to you?
Style to me is fresh, static and girly.
Who’s your favourite designer?
In Nigeria, I like a couple of designers. I like the big names everyone knows, and I also like a couple of upcoming ones.
Do you have a stylist?
Yes and no. I don’t have one particular stylist, I just use different stylists.
Which of the stylists you’ve worked with has dressed you the best?
I don’t want be put on the spot! I like a couple of stylists I’ve used. I don’t want to say one particular one and not talk about the others. A lot of young Nigerian stylists are good at what they do and I’m impressed every time.
How long does it take you to get ready for an event?
Sometimes, ten minutes. Sometimes I have different events for one day and I change in the car, so you know, when you are doing that, you aren’t going to be getting ready in one hour. But then, it depends on the event. Some events, you really take your time - with all the professional makeup and everything.
What’s your take on the Nigerian fashion industry?
You see the things that come out of the Nigerian fashion industry and you are totally amazed. Five years ago, I wouldn’t even wear Nigerian clothes but now I look forward to wearing Nigerian fabrics – they are so pretty.
What’s your favourite fashion?
It’s my wedding ring. Every other thing, I can do without.
What’s it about your style that makes you stand out?
My style is fresh. I’m simple and beautiful.
What is your beauty secret?
Exercise. A lot of exercise, a lot of very healthy food, a lot of water.
Favourite perfume
Ralph Lauren’s Romance
Biggest beauty mistake you’ve ever made?
That would be changing products, then totally breaking out.
What’s the best beauty trick ever learnt from a make up artist?
Highlighting your nose area and your brows to make the light bounce off. My makeup artist in Canada taught me that.
When do you use a glam squad?
When I’m shooting and obviously when I have a big event, but everyday I do my makeup myself.
What beauty tip have you learnt from your mother?
My mother was very big on personal hygiene so I think I took that.
What won’t you be caught in?
My bare skin, being nude. Y!
